World’s First Compact Fusion Heater Prototype Using a New Light Hydrogen Fusion Principle

New Hydrogen Fusion Energy Inc. exhibited a prototype room warmer by new light hydrogen fusion energy, shown live at the Shin Aichi Creative R&D Exhibition

TOYOTA-CITY, AICHI, JAPAN, August 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The prototype is based on the 4H/TSC WS Fusion Theory proposed by Akito Takahashi, Professor Emeritus at The University of Osaka and Chief Technical Advisor to New Hydrogen Fusion Energy Inc.
According to the company, the system harnesses heat generated through a light hydrogen fusion reaction based on a new principle. The prototype was demonstrated to visitors at the exhibition, which was held on June 4–5, 2026.
During the technical session, the company presented its approach to fusion-based heating and conducted a live demonstration of the prototype room warmer.

Exhibition and Presentation Highlights

Prototype Compact Fusion Heater Room Warmer Specifications

・Dimensions: 220 mm in diameter × 600 mm in height
・Power output: 500 W

This is 2.5 times the input power of the 200 W joule-heater.

The output can be adjusted by changing the amount of heat-generating material and the joule-heater input.

・Radiation: No radiation detected
・Estimated energy cost:

Approximately one-tenth the cost of operating a kerosene heater and one-thirtieth the cost of operating an electric heater.

According to the company’s estimates, the prototype is an energy-efficient room warmer with significantly lower operating costs than conventional heating systems.

Commercialization

Commercialization of the prototype is currently under consideration.

Future Development

As a fusion-energy startup, New Hydrogen Fusion Energy Inc. plans to scale up the technology and develop larger systems, including high-capacity water heaters and combined heat and electric-power generation systems, also known as CHP systems.
